雖然我首次接觸梵谷作品時機不對（過年期間人潮多到不行）以及本人對他生平事蹟處於空白無知的狀態（只知道他割掉自已耳朵），但是我真的被他的一幅油畫「絲柏樹與兩個女人」電到了！不明白自己為何會這樣感覺，於是仔細看導覽介紹後對梵谷產生無比的興趣，濕冷的年假裡從PCHOME 24網購三本梵谷的新書，更是讓我愛上梵谷的作品。年假結束刻意選擇人潮不多時間再度去接觸梵谷作品，第二次接觸梵谷作品整整看了二個半小時，總算心滿意足了～終於了解看畫為何要看真跡，為何世人那麼喜愛高價買他的作品。
為了紀念我和梵谷美妙的接觸，挑選梵谷最富盛名作品之三作成部落格版型，雖然這三件作品並沒有在這次展覽，但是此生能親眼看到梵谷作品，讓我深深明白藝術是如此美妙動人，也希望我再能有機會親眼看到這些作品。

2010年正逢梵谷逝世120周年，國立歷史博物館與聯合報系共同主辦的「燃燒的靈魂‧梵谷」特展，不但是華人世界首見，更是台灣絕無僅有的超重量級藝術盛事。「燃燒的靈魂‧梵谷」特展展品包含21幅油畫與77幅素描，包括珍藏梵谷畫作兩大重鎮之一的荷蘭庫勒穆勒美術館借展20幅油畫、18幅炭筆素描及 59件水彩、淡彩等精品，並情商日本POLA美術館出借梵谷晚期油畫「薊花」共襄盛舉。展品中的重要畫作，有庫勒穆勒美術館鎮館之寶「自畫像」、「星空下的絲柏路」及「絲柏樹與兩個女人」等，保險金額高達新台幣250億元，創下國內歷來畫展天價，更是去年「驚艷米勒」展保險金額的兩倍餘。
